HOW TO GET OUR ATTENTION
Each year, our studio receives thousands of emails and DM’s from current and prospective vendors. Please keep in mind that we have a very specific brand and market sector–luxury residential–so not every product is applicable to us. Please know that while we would like to respond to every email request, we simply can’t because we protect our time with our clients. However, there are a few things you can do to make it easy for us and to capture our designers’ attention:

  • REVIEW OUR PORTFOLIO

We kindly ask that you review our portfolio of work on our website and/or Instagram to get a good feel for the types of products our team specifies in our interior designs. See if your products are similar in aesthetic/quality to what we’re using

  • IDENTIFY A PROJECT(S) YOUR GOODS/SERVICES WOULD COMPLEMENT

Tell us which project your product/service would complement and why. Share specific examples

  • BRAG AWAY

What sets you apart from the competition? Handcrafted? Luxurious materials? What other projects have you completed? Direct us to other installations with your work

  • IT’S IN THE DETAILS

What are the lead times? Where are your products sourced? How long have you been in business? Do you work worldwide?

Our interior designers will review the application and, if they believe the product is a good fit with our designs, they will contact you to schedule a presentation time or to request samples.

Sometimes vendors contact us asking what we are looking for in an upcoming project—what we need from them. It’s a great question!

WHAT INTERIOR DESIGNERS NEED FROM VENDORS

  1. High-quality products and services that meet the specifications of our designs

We are looking for truly special furniture, fixtures, décor, etc.

  1. Professionals who always have our clients top-of-mind and ensure confidentiality and timelines are respected

Because our projects are so large in scope, we often work with clients for several years (and many of our clients return to us for other projects) so we become like family. We want to ensure that vendors we work with understand the importance of great relationships with clients

  1. Excellent communication skills

There are sooo many moving parts in our interior designs. Keeping our designers informed about everything—even if it’s bad news—is essential to completing our designs on deadline

And in case you’re wondering, Kylo, social coordinator and self-appointed office assistant, has a few ideas of what not to do:

WHAT NOT TO DO

  • DON’T SEND REPEATED EMAILS
  • PLEASE DON’T DROP BY WITHOUT A SCHEDULED MEETING
  • PLEASE DON’T SEND MESSAGES WITH ATTACHMENTS UNLESS WE REQUEST THEM

We won’t open them. We’re listening to our IT department and passing on any pdf’s, links, attachments that are sent from unknown vendors

  • DON’T SEND SAMPLES UNLESS WE REQUEST THEM

We are working hard to reduce waste, and the environmental impact of unsolicited samples makes us, well, sad. A better way? Fill out the vendor application form and check the I JUST WANT TO SEND SAMPLES box at the top. We’ll review the application and then if we need to see samples, we will reach out and ask for them.

We look forward to learning more about your products and services. Finding new vendors is always exciting for our team! And discovering new products and services from vendors we’ve worked with for years is really important. Thanks for sharing your beautiful products with us. We are truly honored!

Need more information? Check out some FAQ’s below to learn more about our vendor process.

Vendor: How do I schedule a meeting with your team to show you my company’s products/services?

BC: Thank you for your interest in sharing your products/services with us! Please fill out the vendor presentation application form here. After we receive it, it will be reviewed by our interior designers to see if the products are a good fit with our aesthetic and needs. If the designers would like to schedule a meeting, then we will reach out to you and get one on the books.

Vendor: I am visiting Miami and would like to drop by your studio to show you my catalog and briefly meet with you. Is that ok?

BC: No. But thank you for asking before just doing it. While we would love to meet you, we simply can’t accommodate drop-in meetings. Please understand that this is to protect our clients as they are our priority, and our designers are busy taking care of their projects. We will gently share with you that you don’t want to be remembered by our team as the vendor who interrupted our client meetings, internal meetings, or scheduled site visits. Alternatively, you can fill out the vendor application and we will be happy to review your products when the time is convenient for our designers.

Vendor: I submitted my vendor application but haven’t heard from you. What gives?

BC: Thank you for submitting the application! We will respond as soon as time allows. Please keep in mind that we receive thousands of vendor emails/requests every year.

Vendor: I presented to your team, but you still haven’t purchased any of my products/services. Why?

BC: We specify based on our clients’ needs. When a design element is needed, we review our library of resources and then reach out to the respective vendors for more information, pricing, lead times, etc. If you haven’t heard from us, then we haven’t had a need, yet, for your beautiful products.

Vendor: I’d like to ship you some materials/samples for your library.  Is that ok?

BC: Please, please, please don’t.

Vendor: I’ve sent multiple emails about my products/business to your team but haven’t heard back. What can I do to get on your radar?

BC: If you’ve sent multiple emails, don’t worry, you are on our radar. We do read them, but when we aren’t interested in the products/services at the point in time we read them, we don’t always have time to respond. And if we receive too many emails, they end up in our spam folders. Better way? Fill out the vendor application and be assured that we will review it and will reach out to you if we have any questions or want more information.

Vendor: Who reviews the vendor applications?

BC: Our interior designers review the applications and select which vendors they need to speak with based on current or anticipated design needs.

Vendor: I have a question about an order that you placed. Who should I speak with?

BC: please call our studio and ask to speak with principal Pedro Cabas305.640.5005.
