Britto Charette: INSPIRED BY DESIGN WEEK MEXICO

Designers Jay Britto and David Charette use the word “inspired” a lot. Their clients and the press often ask them, “Where do you find inspiration?” Truth is, they look for—and find—inspiration everywhere. Fashion, music, nature, packaging, surprise elements in restaurant and hotel interiors…they all grab the designers’ attention.

Britto Charette: INSPIRATION EVERYWHERE
Britto Charette: From the metal embellishments in a hospitality interior and on a garden wall to mesmerizing sculptures, they found lots of eye candy.

Design Week in Mexico City provided the Jay and David with a plethora of materials and trends to help inform their own creations. From the metal embellishments in a hospitality interior and on a garden wall to mesmerizing sculptures, they found lots of eye candy.

For the last eight years, Mexico City has hosted a prestigious gathering of designers, architects, students, and admirers during Design Week.

Jay and David visited many installations and showrooms, and networked with their design colleagues.

Museums, gardens, and a stunning pavilion are just some of the many venues where Mexico City flaunted its love of contemporary and international design.
