What began as a child’s fascination with comic books and superheroes like batman and superman, became a love of drawing and reading “fanzines” for peruvian artist amadeo gonzales.

His colorful and dynamic drawings and murals caught the attention of principals jay britto and david charette, who have become big fans of the self-taught artist’s work.

“Our Wynwood office is surrounded by fantastic murals. When we saw the murals and art Amadeo is producing in Lima, we knew immediately that we had to invite him to showcase his work in the U.S.” says Charette. “He’s a perfect fit with Wynwood and the celebration of diversity found here,” adds Britto.

Amadeo’s drawings will be featured during the grand opening of our BRITTO CHARETTE ART GALLERY on December 1st, 2015 in Wynwood. The gallery will feature emerging artists from Central and South America.
